Sponsored by the United Grand Lodge of England and hosted under the banners of Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire Freemasons the 'Event' is a celebration of the three hundredth anniversary of the formation of the first Grand Lodge.
The Heads of Freemasonry in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire would like to invite everyone, whether a Freemason or not, to join in the celebrations at a Festival Race Day, to be held at the world famous Royal Windsor Racecourse, on the 2nd July 2017.
Windsor is a beautiful, unique and historic destination, perfect for a visit or short break. It provides the visitor with a wide range of activities: great shopping and dining with perfect places to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
Set in 165 acres of beautiful countryside on the banks of the Thames and within sight of Windsor Castle, the course is just two miles from Junction 6 of the M4.
There is plenty of parking and by arriving early for the first race, you and your guests will have time to picnic or enjoy the hospitality and catering that ranges from Burger and Fish & Chips Vans, for the traditionalists, through Asian and Fusion Cuisines, to buffets with roast meats, fish, salads and much more. There are also other fabulous fine dining and viewing options for small groups or larger parties of up to 100+.
Recognising that this is an ideal time of year to entertain the whole family, there will be many outdoor attractions available for all the family and especially for children of all ages.
In addition, some of your family or friends may choose to take the opportunity to board the riverboat, from the jetty on the course, to visit Windsor and enjoy the tourist attractions there; perhaps taking in some retail therapy before returning to attend the after races entertainment.
For SatNav users, the postcode of the racecourse carpark is SL4 5EZ
